Friday Nov 8 – Sunday Nov 10

Friday: SIMPla (Stop Income Management in Playford) will be having a Discussion-Group on welfare, followed by a Campaign Meeting:

‘Our guest speaker is Fiona Verity, former Dean of the School of Social and Policy Studies, Flinders University, who has been thinking and writing about welfare (as well as working in the sector) for the past three decades.’

2 til 4PM, Adelaide Activist Centre, Room 205, Level 2, 95 Currie Street, Adelaide.

Sunday: Black Swan reading group. This will be the final reading on the Spanish revolution of 1936-39, on the collectivised industry and agriculture and libertarian social organisation.

The text we are reading is here.

We will have copies of the text and will be reading it out loud and discussing it on the day, so you do not need to read it beforehand.

Anyone is welcome. 2 til 4PM Sunday November 10, Mad Mouse Alley, behind 129 Currie St (enter off Light Square).
